Help please? Removing red. [30 Dec 2009|05:51pm] madradhair [wowsunshine] Hey mrh-ers! So I posted about a week ago now?? About dying my hair light brown (back to my natural colour) but I wanted my fringe a different colour. Ive changed my mind again haha. Im doing the same, just minus the coloured fringe. I have a question for you all, though! Hopefully you can help me. So I have red hair. How would I go about removing the red, so I can dye it a light ash-y brown?? I want ALL red colouring gone. I was going to go to the hairdressers, but they cost a fortune, plus also they are all closed for the next couple of weeks (christmas, new year.) So how would I go about this?? I live in australia so we have different products here... and I could buy online but I would prefer if I could just dye it without having to buy online. KH shirts at walmart [30 Dec 2009|01:21am] 0kingdom_hearts [yerbuatheodd] [ mood | cold ] I just had to tell you guys that i was at walmart today and came across 2 different Kingdom Hearts shirts for sale. The only downside is that they were made for like preteen boys, so if you're on the smaller side you could probably fit into them. Luckily enough i was able to find an XL of the one shirt i liked! Good Hairspray [30 Dec 2009|12:20am] beauty101 [miaoudeminou] I recently found a good shampoo & conditioner that makes my hair silky. Then on top of that I'm using a very small size of the CHI Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray (<3). With all three combined my hair ends up so silky but my problem lies in my hair spray. I'm currently using Aussie products but my hair just ends up feeling likes straw. My hair will not stay straight all day because it's naturally wavy. I'd like to be able to straighten my hair, have it hold all day, but still have that silkiness to it. Are there any products you use that have great staying power while feeling silky (preferably under $15)?  2 comments|post comment

Anyway I cut it really short into a pixie about 8 months ago and I was cutting my bangs straight across, but I want a change and I've been looking at side swept bangs. I just don't know if it looks ok, I mean its been so long since i changed my part i'm worried that it looks weird to me because its new or because it just looks weird. So I'm here to ask your lovely ladies opinions. ( Pictures under here... ) How far I've let my bangs grow out now. [29 Dec 2009|11:47pm] beauty101 [lookoutrayguns] this is my first post, so forgive me if i mess up somehow. i'd love to know if anyone has used benefit's some kinda gorgeous AND/OR mac studio fix foundations. i'm making a trip to sephora and mac tomorrow, and i'm in the market for a new powder foundation. i've used studio fix before, but i'm considering skg- it seems like basically the same thing, no? can you compare them for me? for reference, i prefer to keep my beauty routine VERY streamlined, i have combo skin that tends to get oily towards the end of the day, and i have used studio fix before (in NC25 if you care) but considered it a little too cakey when applied with a sponge. i also hate clogged pores like no other, so whichever is less pore cloggy is great! p.s. i'm also getting benetint for my lips and cheeks, and hoping to find a triple barrel hair waver for a decent price... if anyone can recommend one that'd be great. benetint tips too. 3 comments|post comment

Gradual color change. [29 Dec 2009|07:33pm] madradhair [lovesfear] I have naturally dark hair. My hair has been dyed at least 30 times the past 3 years and it was struggling for a while, but now it's in the best condition it's ever been. I haven't touched it with any sort of chemical since September of this year. My roots are now grown in almost 2 inches and starting a new year and a new job, I want a change. Unfortunately, the change that I want is far too drastic and I don't want it to be done overnight. I have had my hair red before. Red as in Amy Adams and Marcia Cross red, and I liked it as did everyone who came in contact with me. So that color, with a few light blonde highlights scattered around is my goal. So having dark hair, how would I go about gradually achieving this? I was thinking multiple heavy auburn highlight appointments, and then a final all over color with highlights. Does anyone agree or have any other ways of going about this? Thank you so much in advance. So it's not text only, here's Marcia Cross. post comment

I have some dove evergy glow lotion that you are supposed to se daily for a gradual look. I've put it on twice in one day to achieve a darker look faster. Has anyone else done this? Pink? [29 Dec 2009|05:31pm] madradhair [becki_lee] I made this post just over a week ago. It's growing on me, but I'm still a little :/ about it. I just came across somebody getting rid of this hair dye, and I was thinking about getting it: L = Beyond the Zone bubble head pink dye R = Jazing Fushcia dye I'm a bartender. I can really do whatever I want with my hair. What do you think? Should I try adding a little in? Maybe break up the huge chunk of blonde in the front? Cover the blonde pieces all together? If you think I should go for adding some in, which of the two bottles should I use? Or do you think it'd look stupid and I should just leave it as it is?? Very open to ideas/suggestions!!
